Two Years Ago… Now, What’s Next?

It’s funny how time elapses and life moves on. It dawned on me this week that Brett and I published Skipping Stones two years ago. Crazy to think that it has already been two years. I have no idea where the time went. I feel like I blink, and time passes me by.

It was such a moment for Brett and me, launching our first published book and sharing that moment with family and friends. We have been fortunate to have so many individuals to support us with our writing endeavors and more importantly to have each other to encourage one another to go after and ultimately attain our dreams.

The last couple years has brought lots of changes for the both of us, some of which, unfortunately, interrupted our writing. We are working on regaining our momentum and path towards publishing other books, along with other dreams that we are aspiring to see to fruition. As I reflect on this, I see that we have had some bumps along the road, but I think what is important is that we pick ourselves back up and continue onward. The path may look a bit different at first but it’s still a path that we will walk and forge ahead towards a new goal.

The question though is, what does that new goal look like? Brett and I have had many conversations as of late on what our goals are and what they entail. In order for us to be on a path, we need to determine where that end will take us. For now, we are still shaping that new dream and slowly creating a direction to get there. Even though the path is not completely clear as of yet, we are working together to look inward and see what it is that we truly want out of life and ourselves. The good news is that we have each other to facilitate and encourage each other towards a direction.

For now, we can reflect on the memory of our book launch of Skipping Stones two years ago and smile of the accomplishment that we completed together. And then see what comes next!
